What is translated so far is in 2.8a. Most menus in the game are translated into English such as the main menu, shop menu (mostly what is in the picture, unsure if it really is named that), characters’ room menu (not sure how much), music list, characters mod and others. Edit mode might be incomplete in its translation. If you are unsure what is translated you might need to unlock some stuff to see it, such as to unlock all content for the shop you need to play the game mode with a decent score or you can use a cheat from cwcheat but the rooms part of the shop still need to be unlocked.

There is no need to update according to order of version and you might be unable to update it like that too. But an untouched ISO will do in all versions or you can update from any of these versions 2.0 to 2.5 to 2.8a. It is unknown if any newer patch update will be created thereafter.

In this translated patch as of version 2.8a there are several early intro text message boxes in-game after the title screen that are mostly in Japanese. Just bypass them then you should be able to see the game menus in English. A major stain against this patch is that the tutorial phase is not even translated! Nor are the in-game song lyrics text translated either!

Unfortunately the game control hints at the bottom bar in the menus are still in Japanese characters only. In most cases the Circle button is actually the means to go to the next menu while the Cross button is to exit to a higher level menu or escape from or cancel the popup box asking to exit.

This patch comes in a plugin, the author made it in a way i can’t insert it on the iso itself, you have to copy the plugin to your psp, enable it and the game will be in English, you can’t do this with an emulator as far as i know (PPSSPP doesn’t support plugins).

Extract “divapatch v0.5-beta6” (included with links above) with winrar and copy the “divapatch” folder inside the “seplugins” folder. (don’t have a seplugins folder? check the plugins section)
Add the following line to GAME.TXT in same folder:

Press Select to bring up the recovery menu and restart the VSH, then start the game.
